ACE will not start, i cant see any logo of ace, after some seconds connection failed without any information

No ACE log was created

This is in the server.log

whats wrong?

you need to post your full ini not just the ace portion of it. Your most likely missing the serverpackages anyway.

Can the ExcludedPorts be specified in the way you put them? I didn't think you could indicate a range with a dash.

Ace appears to be trying to share a port.. Exclude used ports in your .ini

game port = 7777 {in use}
query port= 7778 {in use}
ace port = 7779. {free}

Exclude ports 7777,7778 from ;

also , you do have the following folders in your UT Folder?;

hope that helps.

if your port is different from 7777 then use the following formula;

ExcludedPorts= Gameport , QueryPort , OtherPortsInUse
where QueryPort normally = GamePort+1

also ... if you are required to open ports manually through router (Windows-Installations) and some Linux;
Then open port's 7777-7780 TCP/UDP

that should allow for ACE to breathe a bit.

Players can hide the demo-status by typing in the following in the system-console:

mutate ace setdemostatus <enternumberhere>

Numbers are:

Don't know much about this, but I don't think that you need to put the Fire.u and UnrealShare.u in the list as they're already whitelisted..

Did you try putting it in the Mapvote ini? I'm not sure if I put it down here correctly, someone needs to confirm this.

hey mate the fix quite simple .

tell him to revert back a version , as this render-er will probably not be added to this release.

I'm 90% convinced that it is a valid file , however the only other option is to set BAllowUnknownPackages=True (something like this) in your .ini

^_^ that however would result in anything getting in.

so go for the get an earlier version of the renderer.

for example version 22 instead;

Its the same problem with ACE like UTDC ....

It dont work round, many many players will kicked though they dont use a cheat...impossible to enable such kind of anticheat on a busy server which should keep busy in future....

GameTracker ranking have no mercy - one day with enabled ACE with its problems our busiest server fall down from place 3 to place 10 without catching one cheater

no successful help for set the finetuning with problems of kicking because of different *.u files....there is a problem with some sniperrifles ACE and UTPure...i read the same problem in this topic from [OMA]

very difficult to let it run without problems, it seems we keep hold on to our semi-succussful HAC (Human Anti Cheat) feel a cheater, spectate a cheater, fraps a cheater, ban a cheater in a short reactiontime...

I admit ACE isn't flawless, it is however miles from the issues with UTDC in most regards.
Versions are always tested properly before release, and bare in mind that those versions actually released ARE to be considered BETA.
Therefor all feedback is good feedback, aslong as it's constructive in some way.

As many of you know by now, ACE v0.9 has been completly rewritten from scratch. The most spectacular changes are:

- The security related code is now fully written in C++ (with some ASM mixed inhere and there).

- Check coordination and feedback processing is now done by native code and is now multithreaded. Moving away from UScript should take a _LOT_ of load off the server.

- The whitelist/blacklist system got a major overhaul. Rather than some encrypted uscript package, ACE now uses a plain-text filelist to verify the files your clients are using. As a result, serveradmins can now easily edit the whitelist. The custom UPackages/NativePackages you're using are still added to this whitelist automagically for the duration of the game.

To prevent abuse of this new feature in league games (e.g.: serveradmins adding hacked files to their filelist), players will be able to authenticate the filelist against the masterserver.

- ACE now uses its own netcode/network protocol to handle player<->server communication. The protocol is built to be resillient against packet loss. This should hopefully eliminate the timeout problem for people with poor connections.

- You can now manually configure the port you want ACE to listen on.

List goes on and on. Peoples ideas and sometimes complaints has been listened to, and the work to continue to perfect ACE is still in motion.

Overall progress is 78% near compleiton and we are very keen on giving the new performer a good trial.
