Unhappy Can't host a game online!

I have a problem hosting a game of UT04 online.
I can set up and run the game, but noone can enter it. I was given a tip from from a clan member that it may be my router. And after reizing I didn't have this prob before getting my new router I think he hit the nail on the head. I'm using an LINKSYS router and don't know how to change what ever settings to allow my puter to run as a server (Host) for UT99, or UT04. Can some one here help?

Search these forums.

I believe Linksys routers are having issue's with ut2k4 etc. NAT stuff etc. Not sure though

True, but there is a workaround solution. I just need the help of someone that has solved this prob or knows routers better then I.

You need to forward the ports on the router, to the server in your LAN.

Ports are:

7777 - 7778 (Both); UDP
27900 (Unreal Tournament); UDP
28902 (Unreal Tournament 2004); -UDP
(web server port); TCP

Web server port is configurable in the server.ini (Default UnrealTournament.ini) I belive the default port is something like 8080.

Of course, if you run both a Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2004 Server on the same connection, you will have to use a different game port. Just remember that whatever game port you use, you will have to forward that in the Linksys Router. Just make sure the protocol is UDP.
