My guess by now is: never
This means that all n00bs with the latest noname bot will continue to dominate the servers and kick all veterans in the butt! Making their skills they so hard worked for since the year 1999 useless.

Whenever he get some free time, he is going to be recode ACE and hopefully don't have much problem like the beta process did.

It take a lot of time to get it set. It even took a few years to get the one we currently have.

Hey guys, i have a serious problem. I cannot connect to any ACE v0.8g or v0.8h AT ALL. Ive tried fresh installs, i've tried manually installing. No matter what, it crashes.

It downloads the .dll or even if i manually install it, it doesnt work. The game just crashes. Not fatal errors, just a general windows error "Unreal Tournament.exe has stopped working...." I just wanna play some instagib

first love your username

second did you install ut from steam?

there is an alternate way to install. by downloading the demo then using the 436 no delta patch.

Lastly when you uninstall UT99 make sure you rename or delete the c:\unrealtournament folder.

its most likely due to steam though.

when i install from the demo too utpatch 436 nodelta, i get the same thing. "Unreal tournament.exe has stopped working." i dont want to have to reinstall windows, but i feel like thats the only way i can play UT

P.S. thank you i love this name too hahahaha

EDIT: Currently trying to install ut436 on linux to try to see if i can do it on linux. such a pain in the ass doe :/

Linux UT isn't too hard to install but I need to update my demo installer script.

http://www.unrealize.co.uk/files/Linux/ you want UT-436-GOTY-Installer-0.4.tar.gz and run the demo install script after setting/checking the variables at the top.

Where can I find the latest version of ACE?
And what version would it be?

The latest version of ACE is ACEv08h.

Is this "newer" ACE compatible with Windows 8.1 or would it matter?
Having a majority of my players freezing up when trying to join.
Runs great/no problem/no freeze without ACE.

I am also getting kicked for using Open GL instead of Direct 3D.

The newer ace, V09c, shouldn't be used because it is a beta and from what I heard, it was discontinued due to poor operation for other peoples because of incompatibility against other OS and a few other problem. Unless Anth approve... v09c shouldn't be out and public as Anth only gave it out to a few peoples for beta testing. Just a tip...
